We believe in teaching children the vital truths of God's word  and sound theology at an early age.

Location: Community Building of Centre United Methodist Church in Forest Hill

NOTE: Your children's safety is our highest priority.
Children are never left in the supervision of a single adult, as our adult volunteers always serve in teams.
Further, we ask all of our volunteers to submit to a background check from Verified Volunteers.

catechism: questions & answers for life

What is a catechism? It is a series of questions and answers that lead to a clear and deep understanding of God and His ways. At Forest Hill Presbyterian Church, we use the First Catechism for children to instruct them in language they can understand. We follow a three-year curriculu

  • year 3: the lord's prayer & the sacraments

    The third year covers questions 109-150 of the First Catechism, covering the Lord's Prayer and the sacraments of baptism and the Lord's Supper. 

  • YEAR 1: God, Creation, sin, salvation

    This first year covers the first 57 questions of the First Catechism, covering God, Creation, Sin and Salvation. These are obviously the most vital questions we can address and form the foundation for all of our ministry and lives.

  • year 2: the ten commandments & Salvation

    The second year covers questions 58-108 of the First Catechism, covering the Ten Commandments, God's Moral Law and salvation in Christ by grace alone through faith alone.
